The SAP Business One Data Interface API (DI API) is a COM-based interface that enables SAP Business Partners to enhance and extend SAP Business One as well as integrate external solutions with SAP Business One.

The SAP Business One DI API can be used to access the SAP Business One application on the database level, to extend its functionality, to link with third-party solutions, and to adapt the functionality of SAP Business One to fit customers’ needs.

For developments in the Java environment, a Java Wrapper Class for the Data Interface API is available.

The DI API contains objects and methods that enable developers to read, write, update, and remove data objects on database level.

With the DI API, Business Partners can perform the following:

  • Link their existing solutions “as-is” to SAP Business One.
  • Extend the functionality of SAP Business One for the missing Industry specific functionality.
  • Adapt the functionality of SAP Business One to fit customers’ needs.

Target groups for the DI API are:

  • Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to develop and integrate their certified 3rd party solutions with the SAP Business One application.
  • Strategic Software Partners (SSPs) to implement and interface 3rd party applications or add-ons with the SAP Business One application.
